With this in mind, as part of our fashion inspiration, we decided to take a little closer look at the trends in 2024, taking a look at… the natural safari style!

A few words about the safari style

Are you familiar with the adventures of Indiana Jones, who crossed the desert sands and the wild jungle with great courage? If so, you certainly associate his beige shirt, sand pants, and characteristic hat with a brim. The styling perfectly reflects the principles of the safari style, which takes its inspiration from the clothing worn by explorers and travelers who roamed the African savannahs.

The style is characterized primarily by natural materials, such as linen, cotton, and leather, thus providing comfort in extreme conditions. It is dominated by earthy colors – beiges, khaki, browns, and greens, which perfectly match the desert landscape. In addition, safari style clothing is extremely functional – that is, it has numerous pockets, belts, and buttons, which allow you to adjust the length of the cuffs and sleeves.

The linen shirt, thanks to its airiness and the oversized cut, will be perfect for hot days. You can combine it with short shorts or a swimsuit, thus protecting your shoulders from the harsh sun rays. Alternatively, linen tops with cute ties, which, thanks to their hygroscopic abilities, provide comfort and freshness – both during lazy and active weekends. Linen dresses (e.g. in natural linen) not only refer to the expeditions of Indiana, but, above all, they are a “healthier” alternative to artificial (and environmentally harmful!) polyester. Soft, natural fibers not only “flow” with the movement of the body, but also protect it from the sunlight, while taking care of the correct body temperature. No wet stains, allergies, static, or unpleasant tightness on the skin.

Safari style in men’s fashion

So linen! has recently introduced men’s clothing, which not only captivates with natural, toned colors, but also tempts with bolder hues, i.e. red wine, eucalyptus green, or blue sky. Men’s linen shirts (especially in the shade almond milk) are the essence of Indiana’s style, which was fond of button-down cuts, rolling up the sleeves, and “cutting” the silhouette with a leather bag. It’s no wonder that he chose this particular material – the natural texture as well as the airiness of linen make the shirt an ideal choice for sunny days.

Many of our customers confirm that the softness and lightness give almost a “cooling” sensation. All this is due to the use of an open weave and the so-called stonewashed linen in medium weight (i.e. 160g/m2), thanks to which the fabric retains a unique, wavy texture.

Men can style our shirts in many ways, creating not only casual but also more formal sets. These go well with both linen pants (creating the so-called “total look”) and cotton chinos, a v-neck sweater, sneakers, or leather moccasins. For more casual occasions, sets with shorts and sandals are perfect, which will further emphasize the inspiration of the desert landscape and camelback crossings.
