FABRIC

Stonewashing is a technique of softening linen fibers. People used to use stones in this process, today special enzymes are used. Thanks to the process of stonewashing, linen fabric is exceptionally soft in touch. Moreover, it doesn’t wrinkle during use but its texture becomes gently waved. The stonewashing technique lessens shrinkage to a maximum 3-5%.
Prewashed linen has a higher thread count – it is more durable and elegant. On the other hand, stonewashed linen is significantly more delicate and thinner, which makes it soft in touch and gives some lightness and casualness to arrangement settings. The stonewashing process also diminishes shrinkage to a maximum 3-5%. In the case of the prewashed linen 5-7% shrinkage may occur.

A set of samples can be ordered from our website BUY.

It depends on the product – we use linen with the grammage between 100 and 400 g/m2.

We only use linen from European plantations. Depending on the batch it comes from France or Belgium.
Linen is a plant, so it is a 100% natural fabric. Each part of the plant is used in the textile and food industry and in natural medicine. Linen is 100% biodegradable, which makes it one of the most eco-friendly fabrics.
It is super easy to maintain linen products. A gentle detergent and 40’C washing cycle should be enough. Detailed information on how to take care of linen products may be found in our guide How to care for linen.
Most of our products are made of stonewashed linen which is pre-shrunk during the process of preparation. The maximum shrinkage is 3 to 5 %. However, if you follow the instructions, products shouldn’t shrink. Prewashed linen used for some of our textiles may shrink up from 5 to 7%.
The linen should be ironed while it is slightly damp. Ironing is not indispensable, however– linen with soft wrinkles gives unique, casual character to the interiors.
