An undoubted advantage of linen, which you will appreciate especially during your holiday by the sea, is its ability to absorb. This material not only absorbs sweat (to “give” it to the outside) but also absorbs moisture from wet skin, increasing the feeling of freshness. Importantly, despite contact with a humid environment, linen fibers are not an attractive place to grow bacteria and microorganisms that can cause inflammation and allergic reactions.

Especially on tropical holidays, where the air temperature exceeds 30 degrees Celsius, permeability is valuable. This means that linen provides air circulation, giving the impression of “coolness”. In addition, it is eco-friendly, natural, biodegradable and much safer for the environment than cheap polyester. So if you want to vacation in harmony with nature – this is the best option!

LINEN VS. UV RAYS

The hot beaches of Greece, the hot streets of Italy or the shining sand of Majorca – all these places require effective sun protection. In addition to glasses, filters (preferably above SPF 30+) and straw hats, it is worth betting on. . . fibers that have the ability to absorb UV rays. 

Linen, as one of the few on the textile market, has certain filtering properties – this can be noticed especially in the case of larger weight. Of course, it will not replace suitable creams and emulsions, but it is an excellent additional protection against harmful and dangerous sunburn.

WHAT CLOTHES TO TAKE ON HOLIDAYS?

Linen clothes should appear at the top of the holiday list, of course. They will provide comfort during the summer fun. Natural fibers reduce the risk of sweating and drying out the skin, guaranteeing quick drying and valuable breathability. When packing for a tropical holiday, always read the composition of the material, making sure that the manufacturer did not smuggle a pinch of synthetic fibers.

When choosing clothes for your holiday, first make a list that takes into account the time of your holiday and different (often extreme!) weather conditions. Even if you are going to Seychelles, the bag should include a sweatshirt or longer trousers, which will protect against insects or the harsh sun. The whole will of course be complemented by linen shirts, which you will throw on a swimsuit, linen tops, dresses, skirts, and shorts, which will be great for long walks on the local streets.
