Coming out of a hot, aromatic bath or refreshing shower, one of the least pleasant sensations is. . stepping on the cold, slippery tile with bare feet. It was these dangerous and uncomfortable situations that were the main inspiration for us to create new linen products. We decided that linen bathroom mats will perfectly complement the rest of our bathroom collection – such as linen towels, linen bathrobes, or linen sponges. In order to introduce you to our new product, we have gathered the most important features and frequently asked questions, thus creating a mini compendium of knowledge, which will surely help you in choosing the perfect model for your bathroom.
LINEN MATS FOR AESTHETICALLY PLEASING INTERIORS
When creating linen mats for the bathroom, we wanted to preserve the character of linen – raw and beautiful in its simplicity. They were inspired by illuminated, sunny fields and nature that doesn‘t require extra décor. Therefore models available in our store are minimalist and universal – thus fitting into almost any arrangement in our interior.
The “Creamy White“ version is a perfect proposal for glamour or Scandinavian interiors, which are based on simple forms and light colors. This classic color works well in a subdued arrangement, where elegant white plays the main part.
The “Dark Natural“ and “Natural“ versions are a nod to rustic, Provencal, and boho interiors. Both of these versions will blend perfectly with wicker baskets, wooden accessories, and plants that we keep in intimate, small bathrooms. The color palette created in this way is a tribute to the diversity of interiors, which deserve a touch of naturalness – regardless of the chosen arrangement.
LINEN BATHROOM MAT – PROPERTIES
All mats available in our store are made of a natural base and small loops, made of 100% linen. These loops form a plump structure that gently massages our feet, stimulating circulation and pleasantly massaging tired and heavy limbs. You will appreciate this value especially during hot winter baths, as well as after a workout when your feet are swollen and heavy.
The solid linen used in its production, higher in weight, makes the mat fleshy and solid, so it does not slide under our feet. Its stability reduces the risk of slipping or falling, as you’ve certainly experienced – for example, stepping out of the tub onto freshly polished tile. In addition, preserving the most valuable natural properties, the bathroom floor mat has hygroscopic abilities, so it quickly absorbs dripping water and the ability to dry quickly, which in turn reduces the amount of moisture in the air.
What is more, linen shows antibacterial and bacteriostatic properties. Both the former and the latter ensure that microorganisms do not multiply on the mat, thus increasing the immunity and safety of its users. This advantage is extremely valuable because constant contact with moisture (e. g. in the case of artificial fabrics) increases the risk of bacteria formation, which can negatively influence our mood and concentration. Therefore, bathroom mats are distinguished by longer freshness and durability, which allows for regular and frequent washing (importantly, during the first wash, the mat may slightly dust, so we recommend washing it separately).
