To prove the truth of these words — we have prepared a short guide to learn how to wash a linen shirt. How to care for linen clothes? We are convinced that this will encourage you to test our new products, which will appear soon!
HOW TO WASH LINEN CLOTHES? HOW TO CARE FOR LINEN CLOTHES?
Linen dresses, shirts, and blouses can be machine washed using the most gentle program possible. The permissible water temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. Before that, sort the clothes by color and make sure that they are not forcibly stuffed into the drum (for linen bedding, do not forget to turn it inside out).
You can put natural detergents in the washing machine, e. g. based on grey soap and essential oils – these are not only environmentally safe, but also for fibres. For this reason, it is better to dispense with softeners – they work better with synthetic and man-made fibers.
HOW TO DRY LINEN CLOTHES?
It is better to abandon the tumble dryer – linen does not need such aggressive treatment. The fibers dry fast enough that gentle spinning or natural drying in the dryer will be just as effective.
Don’t twist your clothes. Don’t twist your clothes. Instead, hang them on a string or a hanger, using the force of gravity to slightly stretch the fibers. You can also dry them flat or directly in the sun — the rays will not discolor the fabric, which can happen with polyester. Do not store the damp linen cloth in the drum for too long – remove and hang it as soon as possible.
The drying process can be speeded up by ironing the fabric when it’s damp, but remember that the creasing of the material is unique in its own way and emphasises 100% naturalness.
HOW TO STORE LINEN CLOTHES?
Linen likes space, so avoid curling clothes and kneading them on narrow shelves. If possible – hang them on a hanger or fold them freely into cubes. You can pack your seasonal clothes in natural, material cases or boxes, with moth traps and moisture absorbers that provide optimal conditions for the fibers.
